Job #1919: Architectural Project Manager


Job Title: Architectural Project Manager

Position Location: Cambridge / In-Office position

Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire

Degree Required:  Bachelor Degree in Architecture (BArch) from an Accredited College or University.

Will be the Project Lead in in developing design and construction documents for bidding and construction on multiple projects. Will lead a team of 2-3 staff members and be responsible for their productivity throughout each project. The PM will consistently meet with team members to direct workload and review project timelines/milestones.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant PM work experience under the direct supervision of a Registered Architect.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills among the project team, consultants and client representatives.
  • Proficient understanding of the detailing of various commercial, public and institutional building systems of 30,000 sq. ft. or greater.
  • Ability to solve complex architectural design and construction problems to serve the Client’s program and advise the Senior Management team of any issues that deviate from the program goals and design, or that impact the project budget and timeline.
  • Proficient understanding of MEP, Structural and Site/Civil Engineering trades, while understanding the impact that these trades have on the architectural design concept.
  • The Project Manager must possess the ability to direct consulting teams in the early stages of design and be involved in the election of structural and MEP systems and assemblies for each Project. The PM must properly coordinate these consultant trades through the completion of the project.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including clients, owner’s representatives, consultants, contractors and TGAS project team members.
  • Knowledge of MGL c 149 and c 7C Public Bidding process, preferred but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of RFI, ACR and Submittal process and deadlines, preferred but not necessary.
  • Ability to travel to and from the firm by automobile to attend project site meetings/surveys.
  • Possess a high-level knowledge of Revit, and CAD-based systems. Microsoft Windows-based systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.); 3-D modeling software experience preferred, but not required.

Job #1918: Accounting Manager


Job Title: Accounting Manager

Position Location: Greater Boston

Degree Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration required 

As the financial manager of AP/AR, you will work closely with the firm principals and project managers. You will be responsible for all daily and monthly business operations and accounting duties. 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years related professional experience with accounting and/or business administration
  • Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude
  • Prepare Client invoices on a monthly and/or as-needed basis
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and follow-up with Clients on delinquencies
  • Process, bill and pay consultant invoices related to projects.
  • Ensure project costs are tracked properly and assist with quarterly and annual project reporting.
  • Support CFO with preparation of financial statements for all related entities and year-end closing.
  • Coordinate materials with external CPAs for preparation of tax returns, R&D tax credit and/ or Section 174 capitalization.
  • Prepare monthly entries for Singapore entities. Reconcile general ledger account and provide reconciliation schedules (including over/under schedule). Manage quarterly GST filing. Assist CFO with annual audit and corporate tax filing with Singapore accountants.
  • Prepare intercompany invoices and maintain intercompany billing / expense tracking spreadsheets. Reconcile intercompany transactions across all entities on a regular basis
  • Other specialized projects, as assigned by CFO
  • Experience in Architectural, engineering and /or Construction industry required
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounts and bookkeeping processes
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple deadlines and changing priorities

Job #1915: Project Manager - Louisville, Kentucky


Job Title: Project Manager

Position Location: Louisville, Kentucky

The Project Manager (PM) will work closely with the Managing Principal and/or architect of record to oversee and manage projects for the office. The successful candidate will be involved in all project phases, from field surveys and schematic design to construction document preparation, permitting, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project needs to ensure adherence to the schedule, financial health, and client relationships. Depending on project scale and complexity, the PM may take on various roles within the office. This role also includes mentoring junior staff, supporting office culture, and offers a pathway to leadership as the firm continues to grow its business.

Requirements:

  • NCARB and Kentucky State license preferred with reciprocity potential to other jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of six (6) years experience in the architecture profession required, preferably with commercial, industrial, retail, office/warehouse, distribution, athletic and faith-based projects.
  • This position will involve directly managing production teams and staff on projects.
  • Common Dual role: Will work on some projects in a Project Architects role under other PMs and/or as both PM and PA on the same project.
  • Assists in preparation of client proposals and presentations.
  • Can develop project design scopes, schedules and fees.
  • Retains, negotiates and manages project consultants.
